En Route Transport manages project-based community development that innovates solutions for a sustainable future.
Heidi Beierle started cycling on a pink Huffy on the windy streets of Cheyenne, Wyoming. By the time mountain bikes stormed the scene, a blue and black Diamond Back adopted her and carried her through joyous terrain in upstate New York, northern Colorado, and
Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Finding she spent considerably more time on a bicycle than in a car, she went carfree in 2007 and took to road biking with a dreamy orange creamy Trek. On a whim, she went for her first cycling tour in 2009, riding from Eugene, OR to San Francisco, CA.
Heidi holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English and is currently a masters’s student in Community & Regional Planning at the University of Oregon in Eugene. She brings a background in nonprofit arts fundraising and green building and design to her current enchantment with connecting people and communities through sustainable transportation networks.
