Adventure Cycling Association supports this journey in a number of ways. By building upon their current work with the U.S. Bicycle Route System and their long-established cross-country routes, they support this journey with route planning and route mapping (their maps are an incredible resource for cyclists) and by providing opportunities to engage with businesses along the route.

Financial Support comes from:
Women in Transportation Seminar, Portland Chapter
Lane County, Community & Economic Development
Oregon Parks & Recreation Dept, State Historic Preservation Office, Elizabeth Walton Potter Scholarship
LiveMove, University of Oregon’s transportation and livability student group
Planning, Public Policy, & Management Department, University of Oregon

And there are those of you who help in so many ways…
BA & Lenny Beierle. Thank you parents. I wouldn’t even be a twinkle if it weren’t for you.

Paul & Monica Adkins. For anyone wanting to stay in Eugene on a bike tour, needing inspiration from a generous-hearted family, or curious how to live with a very small footprint on the planet, Paul & Monica are the ones to see. My gratitude to Paul for his expertise with things web and bike and for hosting En Route Transport. Monica has the talent to adjust most things big and small, but it’s her sparkly and enthusiastic personality that always brings a smile to my face, even when it’s pouring buckets outside.

Lisa Wells and Live Well Studio in Corvallis. Lisa is walking from Corvallis to Portland this summer! Thanks for the inspiration and excellent support always…particularly new year’s collage parties!

Tricia Peebles, Queen of Sparkles, for the borrow of her bomb-proof Ortlieb panniers, encouragement, and a go crazy flair. And of course a wonderful place to stay when in Portland, awesome company, great adventures, and dedicated letter writing!

CETMA Cargo. A big shout out to Lane who is a really nice guy and helped me with the best solution for touring on my bike. We needed a creative solution. For this trip, he welded some extensions onto the CETMA Rack I used for touring last year. This year, I can now carry panniers, and they’re again on the front!
